LICENSED CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST POSITION (FULL-TIME) WITH INTEREST/TRAINING IN FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY IN PENNINGTON, NJ AND MORRISTOWN, NJ

Job Overview:
Forensic Psychology & Neuropsychology Services, P.C. and Neuropsychology & Rehabilitation Associates, P.C., with offices in Pennington, NJ and Morristown, NJ, seeks an early career clinical neuropsychologist with an interest and/or background in forensic psychology. In addition, a forensic psychologist with training and experience in clinical neuropsychology would be considered. Cases are highly diverse and involve both adults and children/pediatrics. Evaluations include the full range of clinical assessments, as well as forensic evaluations, and may include IMEs (Independent Medical Evaluations), parental capacity/best interest of the child evaluations, disability/workers comp evaluations, fitness for duty evaluations, plaintiff and defense civil neuropsychological IME’s. Our evaluations involve a very broad scope of disorders including dementia, TBI, personality disorders, and the full range of psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders.

The practice is a unique specialty practice that also serves as an approved training site for postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology through ACPN and doctoral level externs, and also incorporates a clinical practice focusing on neuropsychological and psychological treatment of TBI, PTSD, ADHD and other trauma-based, neurodevelopmental and other neurocognitive disorders.

Job Description
Forensic Psychology & Neuropsychology Services, P.C. and Neuropsychology & Rehabilitation Associates, P.C., with offices in Morristown, NJ, is pleased to announce two immediate openings in our two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology with a strong emphasis in forensic psychology and forensic neuropsychology.
The practice provides a broad range of both adult and pediatric neuropsychological and psychological assessment cases with a strong, but not exclusive, forensic emphasis. Cases involve differential diagnosis of the full range of disorders, including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, dementia, mild cognitive impairment, ADHD, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental and learning disorders, personality disorders, depressive disorders, and anxiety-related disorders. Forensic caseload includes plaintiff and defense IMEs in civil cases; criminal evaluations for not guilty by reason of insanity; diminished capacity; mitigating factors in sentencing including capital sentencing, competency to stand trial and waive rights; civil competency and guardianship; fitness for duty for safety sensitive personnel; parental capacity evaluations; best interest of the child evaluations; and evaluations for academic and testing accommodations. The practice also has an associated neuro-rehab and psychotherapy practice.
Our Director of Training, Jonathan H. Mack, Psy.D., ABN, FACPN, is a board-certified neuropsychologist with 30 years of experience in forensic neuropsychology and forensic psychology, having testified over 200 times in a wide range of jurisdictions and states. Dr. Jennifer Pacyon, co-director of the training program, brings a broad range of forensic and clinical experience to the program with a particular specialization in pediatric neuropsychology and forensic psychology.

Qualifications:
• Completed or near completion of an APA-accredited doctoral program and predoctoral internship
• Must have formal training and supervision in clinical neuropsychology
• Experience in forensic psychology preferred

Responsibilities:
• Neuropsychological and psychological testing and scoring
• Clinical interviewing and/or assistance with same
• Forensic and clinical report writing and editing
• Caseload of clinical evaluation and treatment cases of patients with mild TBI, PTSD and other accident-related disorders, to include psychotherapy, biofeedback and cognitive rehabilitation under supervision.

DOCTORAL PROGRAM CLINICAL EXTERNSHIP FOR THE 2024-2025 CYCLE:

Forensic Psychology & Neuropsychology Services, P.C. and Neuropsychology & Rehabilitation Associates, P.C., with offices in Pennington, NJ and Morristown, NJ, is pleased to announce two openings for DOCTORAL LEVEL CLINICAL EXTERNSHIPS for the 2024-2025 cycle.

Successful applicant must be in a Ph.D. or Psy.D. clinical psychology doctoral program. A clinical neuropsychology or forensic psychology track is very helpful, but not mandatory. The externship focuses on psychological and neuropsychological assessment with emphasis on test administration and scoring, interpretation, and basic report writing. The extern will observe clinical interviewing and assist in scribing/editing of intakes. The practice caseload is lifespan involving assessment of adult and pediatric examinees. The practice has a strong, but not exclusive, forensic emphasis. Cases involve the differential diagnosis of the full range of neuropsychiatric disorders, including, but not limited to, traumatic brain injury, dementia, mild cognitive impairment, ADHD, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, etc.

The externship will include participation in didactic training, team meetings, and individual supervision provided in accordance with the applicant’s doctoral program’s externship requirements. Training is provided by postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology, licensed psychologists and neuropsychologists, and by our Director of Training, Jonathan H. Mack, Psy.D., ABN, FACPN.
